Assignment A:
My new concept for a social playful interface that encourages positive behaviour within the main building of THUAS is a gamified recycling program. The recycling bins have smart sensors that you can scan your campus card and then throw your recycling into the correct bins. Once you have recycled, you get points on your account.
The leaderboard is displayed in the main atrium of THUAS, here you can see all the scores of your friends and who has the best recycling score.
Players can talk about their scores and even go looking for more trash to recycle togewther in order to get the best score. Not only do the students spend time together but are also more aware of recycling.
Sensors needed:
Campus Card Scanner
Weight sensor (to see amount dropped into recycling bin)
Input:
Campus Card
Recycled trash
Output:
Leaderboard screen

Assignment B:
The creator of this interaction screen is Yah Agency:
This system uses a projector to project a screen onto the floor, it then also has sensors that can see where the users step and can provide feedback. The screen can be used for many different purposes like a football field where kids can kick around a ball to each other when passing time, a koi pond where users can see fish swim on the floor, a bubble pit where users can pop the bubbles when walking over the screen and much more.
Input:
Users movement
Output:
Corresponding visuals to the user movement
The play is very unstructured as the users can pick which type of installation they want to use from a screen to the side. They can play around and do whatever they want to do. The play can be both singplayer and multiplayer. It all depends on what game/setting the screen has been set to. Most of the time this screen is more of a competitive interface when played as multipayer. Normally there is a score board to see which user is better/has scored more.

Assignment C:
I really enjoyed this topic, I think it was my favourite one. Therefore, I have put it as my most favoured topic to do in the lab weeks. The applications are endless in the field of playful interaction. I really like that it can involve multiple different users at the same time and create a unity between them as they either work towards a comman goal or against each other in a playful game. I can’t wait to see how this topic involes in the future, also to see how corona effects this as shared spaces are becoming lesser by the day.
