A Printer –
A printer has multiple needs to perform its function. It needs to be connected to power, has paper in the paper tray, enough ink to print and have some type of connection to a device to receive the actual file that needs to be printed. The need for the printer is to print ink on paper. It takes a digital document from a user and will translate that into a physical document. When the printer isn’t connected to power, the printer is essentially useless, therefore feeling dead. The printer cannot turn on and can perform 0 functions. When the printer doesn’t have any paper in its tray, it is frustrated. It cannot perform the task it needs to do and paper is essential to its working capabilities. When the printer doesn’t have any ink, it is annoyed. The owner has forgotten to put ink in the printer and they cannot operate. They are annoyed at their owner for forgetting. Also, they feel weak and thirsty as Ink helps them live. When the printer doesn’t have any devices to connect to, the printer is confused. It has all the necessary equipment to print but does not have the correct input.

Oura Ring

This is a smart ring – it tracks the wearer’s activity and sleeps. The ring can analyse the users pattern of sleep and offer custom advice on how to make their sleep better. This can range from reducing caffeine intake before bed to exercising more. The ring has a large number of sensors that record heart rate, blood oxygen levels, sleep cycle, breathing patterns, body temperature, EEG, steps and other activity related metrics. By having access to all these metrics, the ring has highly sophisticated software that takes them all into account when offering advice. Knowing what’s going on in your body is extremely important, I am heavily involved in wearables as I think we should take care of our body. This ring elevates all other wearables as it has so many different functions packed into a single ring.
